Spring Season Starts Back Up

As the COVID-19 peak fell in May and the Little League recommended date of the 11th passed, each state and local health department set guidelines and dates for returning to play.  Governor Justice set a date of June 9th for the return to practice and June 22nd for games to begin.  

JCLL worked with the Jefferson County Health Department and Jefferson County School to formulate a responsible restart plan so that we could start practice on June 10th.  The plan was approved and activities were able to restart once more.

The league had around 100 cancellations because of the COVID-19 situation but the league still re-started the season with 30 teams and 297 players.

***Update*** 
After the season was completed in August, the league only had to quarantine 3 teams and no one tested positive for COVID-19
