Jefferson County Little League Board Meeting
July 14th, 2019
Member’s Present: Jamilyn Troxell, David Engle, Greg Stevens, Mike Moulton, Greg Sager, Martha Sager, Jeff Powell, Jeff Hickey, Abigail Dudley.
President’s Report:
- Fall Ball: Numbers are low this Fall Ball Season.
Teams: Softball – 1 Team – Interleague Play
6 and Under – Rookie / T-Ball
7 and 8-year-old players – Minor – Interleague
9 to 12-year-old players – 3 Teams
Coaches – Reviewed those who volunteered to Manage, Coach and Umpire. Jeff Powell made a motion to approve those who volunteered to Manage, Coach and Umpire. Abigail Dudley second the motion. Motion passed.
- Money for All Stars: Monies allocated were determined by the minimum nights that would be guaranteed to stay on site.
10-Year-Old All Star Team – $171.00 x 13=$2223.00
12-Year-Old All Star Team – $156.00 x 13= $2028.00
Junior’s All-Star Team – $135.00 x 16= $2160.00 (This amount includes 3 Coaches)
Regionals for 10-Year-Old All Star Team – $193.50 x 13= $3354.00 (This amount covers 4 nights)
Total allocated: $8,926.50
- Lights on the Softball field: Installation should occur at the beginning of August.
- Minor’s Field: The Minor’s field will be shut down for the fall season for repairs. Dirt will be removed, and the infield will be replaced with grass.
- Major Field: Needs some work, Sod Cutter to remove lips and grass repair.
Secretary’s Report: Jeff Powell motioned to approve the Secretary’s Report. Mike Moulton second the motion. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report- Currently, we have $47,458.65 in our account. David Engle motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Greg Stevens’ second the motion. Motion passed.
Fundraising:
- Cash Bash: Hoping to have event in February.
- Keys Tickets: Donated to the 10-Year-old All Star team.
